I have seriously never owned an SKS before, but I traded into this locally. Its exceptionally clean. I dont know much about them, but I like it

Cool thing about those is the AK mag but the removable bayo is maybe specific to the D. Only ever saw one other and it remains unfired...much

I used to own one back in the 90s, but sold it when I bought a "real AK".
Wish I had it back...it was fun. |

I have the SKS-D in carbine flavor, just a bit shorter in the barrel. It's more my 'trunk gun' than anything else wearing a couple coats of flat epoxy paint.

I actually like them better than the AK in some ways. An SKS has a much better recoil impulse. Not insanely over-gassed like an AK.
