compared to the older, traditional, laquered ammo we are storing.  There's a lack of selection now (thanks Joe) and I'll be storing some Tula for practice.  I know there can be some corrosion issues.

You pretty much answered your own question.

The poly finish is less durable and more prone to allowing the steel case to rust compared to lacquer finishes.

For practice ammunition kept dry and sealed against moisture, it would be suitable.
