Ive got a gen 2 that’s set up with an eotech 553 but im looking for some iron sights that are nice and low and possibly a different red dot thats also lower.
Any suggestions would be welcome |

Don’t know about iron sights, but Aimpoint PRO, H1/T1, H2/T2 can all be mounted lower. The PRO simply requires you to remove the spacer from the factory mount but it’s a bit heavy for an RDS. The mini Aimpoints can be purchased with low mounts or you can buy a low mount separately. The same applies with the Trijicon MRO.

There's a few options for sights for the gun.
Troy Micro flip up sights are 1.16" tall which is about 0.30 lower than standard issue AR-15 height sights. That means they are too short for most optics meant for AR-15 height and too tall for most optics using a low mount on a Galil. https://troyind.com/backup-iron-sights/folding/micro-sets CZ Scorpion sights are in fact still being made but they are slow to be imported because there is a backlog of well everything. You can sometimes find them for sale on other websites but most people seem to be aware they are hard to get and are charging an arm and a leg for them but you can sometimes find them for $100 if lucky. https://shop.cz-usa.com/cz-products/scorpion-evo-3-s1/sights.html This company makes similar sights to the Scropion but theyIMO do not seem to be as nicely machined and more expensive than the Scorpion sights but they are in stock readily available and don't have "CZ" logo on the side so if that matters to you on your IWI gun these are a good bet: https://occamdefense.com/ods-peep-sight-preorder/ Another option though not ideal is: https://www.hightowerarmory.com/HTA-Glock-Sight-Bases-MULTI-Base_p_53.html and then whatever glock sights you like the looks of. There are also LPA sights which are what the Scorpion was first shipped with before CZ started making them in house. The only licensed US dealer of them is Fusion Arms, you have to buy the front and read seperate and they are more expensive than the ODS sights at $175 a set: https://fusionfirearms.com/adjustable-rear-shotgun-sight-for-weaver-or-picatinny-rail-2mm-hole-ghost-ring https://fusionfirearms.com/adjustable-tactical-front-shotgun-sight-vertical-screw-retention-fiber-optic Finally there are sights meant for the Stribog and look to be very similar to the LPA with some differences like smaller hood around the front sight but they have the benefit of being $60 which makes them the cheapest option by a lot. However this website is known to be sketchy and not deliver and also they look cheaply made so there is probably a reason they are $60: https://globalordnance.com/grand-power-hard-fiber-optic-sights-for-stribog/ As far as red dots go the Aimpoint Micro series T2/H2 etc will cowitness with Scorpion sights using the low mount that comes from the factory but it's not a QD mount. Therfore any of the similar style of sights, Holosun 403/503, Sig Romeo 5, Primary Arms Micro, etc should get close as well. If you are like me and you don't want the irons to clutter up the red dot sight picture Midwest Industries and ADM both make a low mount for the Aimpoint Micro and clones that puts the optic at around 1.0-1.1" above the rail so it should clear the sights. ADM is king here because they also make a low mount for the Trijicon RMR/Holosun 507c, Trijcon MRO (would not recommend), Aimpoint ACRO, Holosun 509t, etc. Other companies might as well but ADM does for sure. |

If IWI left the backup sights on the Gen 2 I'd think it was the perfect upgrade but removing them added a whole boat load of extra issues because there's 100s of different AR height sights you can get but if you want to reduce your height over bore there is like 4-5 I listed above which is a bummer. I managed to snag some Scorpion sights which are IMO the most robust option and also the nicest looking option if you're willing to ignore the CZ logo on your IWI gun. I'm planning to doing what I do on my actual Scorpion, have a red dot that is just slightly taller than the sights on a QD mount so if the red dot dies or is damaged I can pull the dot off quick and go to sights. My reason for that is I do not like sights cluttering up my sight picture so even a lower 1/3 isn't ideal for me. You'll have to decide for yourself what makes the most sense for you. If you want to co-witness almost any of the low sights with a Aimpoint Micro style red dot on the lowest of the low non QD mount will give you either a lower 1/3 or an absolute co-witness depending on the body of the topic. When I get my scorpion sights I'd be happy to take some pics for you. |

I finally got a set of Scalarworks Peak sights. Really like them. They co-witness my eotech perfectly. Little pricey but excellent quality

The EoTech sights do not mount low enough for any of the above things I mentioned to work so you make a good call with the Scalarworks. I'm going to stick with the ODS PH-1 and/or Scorpion sights + Reddot on a QD mount personally. |

If your taking about these:
https://shop.cz-usa.com/10800.html According to the website they are "Slightly taller than the old EVO 3 sights, intended to be used with a lower 1/3 red dot mount." Meaning they are much taller than the older ones. |

Fwiw I have those stribog sights and the quality is not that bad at all. They sit out of the way of my sight picture with an m68 in an ADM low mount. I bought from that website and they arrived a couple days later.

If you get a chance post some pics. |

I tried CZ Scorpion sights on my Galil Ace 2, but the rear sight wouldn’t let me put a LPVO on it. The rear sight sat too far forward. So I went with Troy micros.
CZ’s are nice and low and they work better with getting a good sight picture due to the AK type of profile the Galil has, or at least for me it does. If I didn’t need a magnified optic because of my near sightedness, I would go with the CZ’s & and Eotech. The CZ’s are really nice sights. |
