Which caliber would you choose 5.56 or 7.62 x 39 for the Ace pistol with a brace?

7.62x39 from an 8.5” barrel is approximatley 124gr @ 2100fps

5.56 from an 8.5” barrel is 55gr @ 2425 with wolf military classic or ~2500fps with m193.

308 win from a 12” barrel is 147gr @ ~2375fps or 168gr @ 2200 fps.

So what numbers do you like the most?

For perspective:
I used to have an 8.5” 7.62x39 ar pistol.

I still own a 5.56 8.5” ar pistol.

I’m saying this based only on my experience killing pigs with short barreled rifle caliber weapons.

X39 seems to suffer less from shortening the barrel than does 5.56

I lose more wounded pigs to running away with my short ARs than with my short AK types. And I have connected a fair amount of times with both.

That said, I think something about the x39 pistol is hideous and the 5.56 pistol is way cooler looking
