Video shows how to take a 35 rnd galil mag and convert it to fit a Zastava Zpap 85.  One update, if you measure .070, use a .080 piece and trim to fit.

Sorry but why would someone want to do that? I understood the yugo mags were available?  Times have changed!

Zastava mags cost twice as much, are polymer, and hold 5 fewer rounds. I can definitely see the appeal.

OK I guess but that is why I say times have changed.  There was a time that that only gun one would consider butchering a galil mag (or any other .223 AK mag for that matter) for would be a valmet.  Just saying.

Finally got around to trying this out today. Just took a piece of 16 guage flat steel (.0625) and tacked it to the bottom of the front lug. I havn't shot it yet, but I hand cycled some rounds through each of the three mags I converted without any failures. They all lock up tight.
