OK I have been in the game for a long time but why is this ammo special? I did a google search and is it really just the wound channel characteristics?

Yes.
It's hollow point ammo that actually expands. Hillbillies around here have used it for 25 years on deer. Works as good as a 30-30 softpoint. The newer stuff not so much. |
