I will preface this by saying my knowledge on AK’s is almost nil.  I’ve owned several Saiga shotguns but the only rifles were a pair of 16”x39 VEPR rifles that I bought from KVAR.  Sadly, I gave into temptation and sold them a couple months later at the height of the panic buying.  I’ve always wanted another VEPR since but always miss out on anything at a good price...until today!

Picked up this 20” 54r unfired in the box.  Got a couple questions...original owner had a smith remove the lug and install this flash hider...what am I looking at?  Also came with a scope mount...can anyone ID it and is it any good or should I be shopping.
