That is very interesting. I assume the hollow base is so it will expand and raise chamber pressure?

Finally found the info that was hiding. This is the first type of proof cartridge which is pretty common amoung the old Communist countries. The data is for the Yugo barrel proof but will still work.
Bullet lenght - 28.5mm Bullet Diameter - 7.9mm at widest point Bullet wieght - 141 grains, 9.14 g Overall cartridge lenth - 61.27mm N/C flake wieght - 20.5 grains, 1.33 g This is designed to give 30% over normal service pressure. Wolfgang |
