Hey guys,

Quick question.

I'm considering getting a Galil Ace in 7.62X39 rifle.  I was very interested in SBRing it and chopping it.  My question is this.  Will there be dwell time issues if we chop right in front of the gas block/front sight?

I plan on suppressing the rifle and adding a KNS piston.  I have literally zero clue as to what would go into this in order to make it work.

Can anyone advise?

Also, off of the top of your heads, if one were to chop right in front of the gas block, what length would we end up with?  Approximately 12.5 inches?

Buy the braced pistol...cheaper, flawless operation, pain free SBR if so desired.

Scot of RS Regulate cut down a 16". He said he opened the gas port 0.5mm more than stock. There is a thread on another forum he talked a little about what he did and why, I can PM you a link.
