Thanks for sharing!   Very interesting read.   As a guy born in the 80s but in love with chicom AKs now, it's nice to get a glimpse back to the climate surrounding guns during that era.

Ah, the heyday of ChiCom AKs. They were, relatively, dirt cheap and ARs were expensive. I regret not buying all the ChiCom AKs I could afford at the time. I also regret not getting interested in them till they were banned and rifles like my MAK-90 were all you could get. I'd love to have a stamped underfolder with the folding spike bayonet.
