Who do we have to nag to get a dedicated AK Shotgun subforum. I have posted in the Shotgun section of the armory, but they seem kinda fuddish in there. Really think we would be more at home in here! Opinions?

I have a Lynx 12. And a Beretta semi auto 12 gauge.
So I can see your point.

Better to have an assortment.

Well I don't leave Arfcom very often.

And would like a place to discuss my AK shotgun with like minded individuals.

Vagunnut you say?

For some reason I thought we always had an AK shotgun section here, but I never got into it. I picked up a Lynx 12 within the last year and went looking for that sub forum and never found it. There is some Saiga 12 pic threads and discussions in the Russian AK sub forum but a lot of that went by the wayside with the Russian bans. With the resurgence of foreign made AK style shotguns, that sub forum might get some decent traffic. I'm in if you can get it going.

I have a KS-12 and would like to see an AK shotgun subforum.  I'm kind of fond of it as it was the first gun I bought for myself.

If only there was a forum devoted to Vepr shotguns... Someone should really make that, they'd be rich I bet..

I dunno, the 5.45 shooters are already a lil' touchy about the superiority of the 7.62, you start talking too much about really big-bore AK's and they might hafta go to their safe spaces.

Sure.  I don't mind bringing it up, but there should be a legitimate need for it.

Well my response would be

There are more than one country of origin for the AK Shotgun genre.

And the locals in each qualifying forum are very cliquy! And don't accept outsiders too well! Especially outside the box AK Shotguns! We just don'y really fit in, in any of the current available forums.

what kind of beer or spirits is GB fond of? I am not above bribing him!

You’d probably be better off trying to create an AK Shotgun Megathread and setting it to non-archive.

Veprs and Saigas are gone. Not going to be much new to talk about aside from crying.

A bunch of Chinese clones seem to coming back, I guess some disambiguation about their variations and quality would be helpful.

I’ve, uh, dabbled in the Turkish Benelli M4 clone world and spent a little time looking at their bullpups. But I don’t think I’ve seen a true AK shotgun from them.

Is there anyone in the US aside from K-USA rolling a US-made version?

I'm in.

Just did a magwell conversion so my Saiga accepts vepr 12 mags. First problem, dropping mags after ever round, has been solved. Now I need to figure out why the spring is jumping off the trigger where it rubs against the bolt hold open, causing light primer strikes and action binding. Runs great until the spring jumps, and then I get light primer strikes and occasionally the bolt gets sticky when it goes over the hammer. I will post a pic of it in final configuration tomorrow night when I get the last batch of parts!
