What's the correct torque range? I've seen everything from 60 to 150. Also, would it be smart to go lower than max incase I need to remove and reinstall it?

What barrel nut/handguard are you using?

I’ve been using aeroshell grease and 55ft-lbs

Edit: I’m an idiot and didn’t see Galil, let me do some research

I've never had any luck trying to torque an AR barrel nut correctly. Go snug, then crank it over until the gas tube lines up. Anything else leads me to madness and stripped nuts.

Thanks. Was thinking 130, but 120 works and if for whatever reason I have to reinstall and go over a few pounds I won't worry about it
