Barrel torque

CPT_CAVEMAN Member Joined Feb 2012 Posts 63908 EE 100% (30) USA	Posted: 4/9/2023 4:11:13 PM EDT What's the correct torque range? I've seen everything from 60 to 150. Also, would it be smart to go lower than max incase I need to remove and reinstall it?

cayman_shen Joined Oct 2019 Posts 2245 EE 100% (18) NH, USA	Posted: 4/11/2023 5:46:00 PM EDT [#3] I've never had any luck trying to torque an AR barrel nut correctly. Go snug, then crank it over until the gas tube lines up. Anything else leads me to madness and stripped nuts.
