Bought these year ago, but have forgotten the back story. As I remember they were supposedly Eastern European factory modified. The extensions are very cleanly done. Here compared to unmodified 40s. The floorplates and followers look the same.
 Attached FileI found them in an old box of mags that were squirreled away. Also found some plum AK 5.45 mags, obviously used by a heavy metal fan.  Attached File |

Those are Bulgarian “splice” mags. Last I saw for sale were over $100 each.

IIRC these were imported by "Chief Thunder" from the AK files maybe? Long story there.
