Bought these year ago, but have forgotten the back story. As I remember they were supposedly Eastern European factory modified. The extensions are very cleanly done. Here compared to unmodified 40s. The floorplates and followers look the same.

I found them in an old box of mags that were squirreled away. Also found some plum AK 5.45 mags, obviously used by a heavy metal fan.

Those are Bulgarian “splice” mags. Last I saw for sale were over $100 each.

IIRC these were imported by "Chief Thunder" from the AK files maybe?  Long story there.
