Guys,

I am going to try to tread lightly here and not get my thread locked.

I just got out of the AK game and sold an AK-47 and AK-74.

That said, I have a shit load of ammunition left over and am curious how attractive the old corrosive Russian stuff is that comes 2,060 rounds to a heavy ass wooden crate.  It's 7n6.  I have 3 crates full of it.

Can someone please let me know what the current thoughts are around this ammo compared to the shit I can find on ammoseek?  From what I gather, we can no longer import this stuff because it's scary, communist steel core AP?

At any rate, I come seeking knowledge.  Please mods, don't shoot.

Some of the large online guys had it recently for $550 a crate plus shipping. I’ve been unable to garner any interest here on the EE for $225 a tin.

I just don’t think there is a ton of demand

I think a lot of us who got into it bought a ton of it… In my case I probably have more than I’ll shoot in my lifetime.

I’m not sure I’d buy more of it even if I could buy it at the old price.

Ok, thanks all who have replied.

It sounds like 25 cents / round is the ballpark rate.

That's what I needed to know.

I appreciate it.

I have 25k of 7N6 right now but shoot commercial instead. I'd buy more 7N6 at the old price because 50k sounds better than 25k, but I doubt I'd shoot it these days even if I did get that much. It's not coming back

I sold 3 cases last year and $225.00 a tin was the most anyone would pay. Have seen some sell on GB for crazy prices but can't comprehend why.

More like 20cpr for small quantities and even cheaper for bulk.

I thought it was 2160rd per crate in two 1080rd tins?

You are correct on quantity.

I am shipping to a guy in MN who is paying 18.5 cents per round, plus shipping.

I probably could have held out for a bit more, but that seems fair.

Here locally I had zero interest at $225 a tin and got my inbox blown up at $200 a tin.

Yeah, that's a little more than what i ended up getting.

I got 0 sniffs locally on armslist.

I would have held onto it and waited. In a few years, it will have the same lore as the Chinese steel core 7.62x39.
