The Arcus-30 is a Bulgarian 40mm GL mounted to the bottom of a 1968 Ishevsk AKM.  Made by Armaco (Circle 33 logo) in Bulgaria.  Do not fire US 40mm grenades as it has its own series.  See link below.  Will not fit onto milled AK47s.

My understanding of the AUGs were supplied to the Afghans early in 2002.  Wall is concrete so cleaning rods used, besides have bunch of those.

As always, thank you for your interesting post.

I was in J-Bad and Khowst in early 2002.  Never saw the AUG’s, but did see M3 greaseguns that were minty.  Such a treasure trove of odd and unusual items to be found there.
