Any chance of getting pictures of each setup once it is completely finished? Suppressor completely finished, etc....

I found it hard to visualize exactly what the completed rifle will look like. Before spending the money I would like to know exactly what I am buying.

How are they attached and how would they need to be removed? It would be nice to somehow remove the fake can, get the barrel correct length and swap if needed be once SBR'd...

1. The plunger/detent pin hole is drilled all the way through.

2. The fake can is screwed on and cranked tight, and a detent pin "notch" is marked.

3. The fake can is unscrewed and the marked "notch" area is milled out of the can.

4. The fake can is then screwed on and cranked right.

5. A substitute solid plunger/detent pin (no spring and cut for the FSB pin) is inserted through the rear of the plunger/detent pin hole and slides into the notch area of the can.

6. The FSB pin is pressed back into the FSB.

7. The rear end of the plunger/detent pin hole then receives a small amount of weld, is then cleaned up, and the weapon receives a Teflon Molycoat over Phosphate Finish. You won't even be able to tell the work was done.

To remove the fake can after your SBR paperwork is approved.

1. Remove the front FSB pin from the FSB.

2. Carefully dremel cut the solid plunger/detent pin between the FSB and the fake can.

3. Unscrew the fake can.

4. Turn the weapon muzzle down and the solid pin remnants should fall out. A scribe inserted into the empty front FSB pin hole should help work the solid pin out if it is stuck.

5. Insert the original spring and plunger/detent pin and hold while you press the front FSB pin back into the FSB.

6. The FSB plunger/detent pin should now be spring loaded and move freely when you press/release with your finger tip.

7. Screw the original M-92 muzzle compensator back onto the FSB muzzle threads. Depress the FSB plunger/detent pin to finish screwing the muzzle compensator all the way tight until the FSB plunger/detent pin matches up with the notch in the muzzle compensator.

8. Take the weapon to the range and take your time inserting a thirty round magazine. Make sure everyone to the left and right of you on the firing line takes notice of your actions. Once you are sure they have noticed you and your short barreled rifle, aim the weapon down range and at the top of your lungs yell:

"I'm a badass motherfucker!!"

and then quickly proceed to empty the thirty round mag into the target of your choice. If you follow these last steps very carefully, I guarantee you will be the talk of the range for the rest of the day, and most probably the rest of the week.

If I ordered one could I go ahead and pay the deposit with a credit card or do you have to print out the form and mail it in?I know I need to mail a signed copy of my dealers FFL. Just wanted to try and reserve one before they sold out.

Print out the form and fill it out with the requested info.

You still have time to get one before the window closes.

It appears we are going to go with the PBS-5 fake can.

The diameter will be scaled down to 1-1/2 to 1-3/4.

It will also have the knurling and not be smooth.

question - when are the Credit cards gonna be charged. I understand a deposit by definition is kept under any circumstance. Taht's the risk inherent here. But are you going to wait to charge the card until shipment? OR when is full payment due?

ETA:
and whats the deposit and i agree iwth suppresor choice.

ETA2: also what are 'form 1" markings ?

The deposit will be charged at the closing date of deposits. We will then contact you for final payment when they are complete. You can again use a CC or send a check.

For those of us who will be going the SBR route in the future, exactly where on the receiver will our info be engraved? I was thinking on the bottom of the receiver, just fwd. of the mag well??

I'm sorry but Armory has their logo there. We will probably have to engrave it along the bottom edge of the top cover on the receiver. I thought about under the pistol grip. But there may not be enough room. I'll check again.

First Post as a Team Member...

Order for one rifle with engraving sent with FFL and Deposit yesterday.

Is the rifle being shipped with a magazine? If so, how many round capacity and how are you addressing those of us that live in a capacity restricted states? I live in Maryland and we cannot have magazines over 20 rounds shipped into our state.

I was told by a local dealer for class III firearms that the Krinkov does not have a barrel long enough to properly stabilze the bullet for use with a real suppressor. He said that AAC makes one, but Gemtech recommends against it due to a possible baffle strike.

Can anyone shed more light on this?

All have short barrels.

However, KVAR has been selling Krinkov kits with the longer barrels.....Kind of ugly if you ask me....defeats the whole look.

Just wondering since I'm in a non friendly SBR state it would make sense to have a long barrel for better accuracy, etc.

Then you could still put a fake suppressor over the top and it would look exactly the same won't it?

2 or 3 years ago, someone (I forget who) did exactly what you are saying. Had the longer barrel with a slip over fake can. So I guess he kept the accuracy of the longer barrel.....but added more weight with the addition of the slip over can.....

In a review of a recent production AK I read that some thought shorter barreled AK's are MORE accurate cause of the effects of having less moving mass on the piston/oprod/bolt assembly produce less torquing of the non free floated barrel. Did I say that right?

I have an AAC can for my Bulgarian Krinkov in 7.62 and 5.45. They both work flawless. Also the Bulgarian is a shorter bbl. and different thread pitch.

Is this about the size we're shooting for? From the ORF website....
