The Anderson AM-15 Dissipator features a 16-inch barrel with a rifle-length gas system and A2 style rifle-length handguard—delivering a longer sight radius resulting in an enhanced level of accuracy and smoother overall shooting experience.

This unique, lightweight model is well suited for a variety of uses and is an ideal choice for shooters who desire an accurate, reliable, and ultra-maneuverable rifle.

The Dissipator rifle was developed for use by the U.S. Military in the early 1960s.

Original designs were created simply by sawing existing 20-inch rifles down to 16-inch.

The Dissipator’s shorter barrel allowed for a reduction in overall weight along with also increased maneuverability making it more suitable for use in close-quarters combat.

The rifle-length gas system also offered greater reliability and accuracy than a shorter carbine-length gas system.

Although the Dissipator rifle fell out of favor with the military in the late 1960s, it has experienced a revival in popularity among civilian shooters in recent years—mostly due to its unique appearance, distinct features, and a nod to 20th Century wartime nostalgia
