I've never been to a Cabelas... Can't imagine is much different than Sportsman's Warehouse from the way you described it yesterday.... I prolly won't be going in there much!

I agree, I stop in at the Cabelas in Lacey, WA every couple years. This one does not compare.
I was told that the ammo supply was neutered for all the early openings, but that should change after they open for real. I'll probably check it out again in a few months. |

The pictures of the inside look pretty good. I've been to the one in Kansas City, Sidney, and Mitchell and they are all pretty amazing. How is this one different?
Also wait until the Bargain Cave gets full of perfectly good returned items that you can pick up for a steal....I assume there's a bargain cave? |

There is a bargin cave but it doesnt open until the 10th. One thing you can look forward to is cabelas used gun prices. They are higher than brand new at walmart. |

Granite dude I think your a douchebag. Maybe you should of stayed in OR then you wouldn't of lost your thousands of dollars. And no I'm not butt hurt. I have all the ammo I need and the guns to feed it. Probably not like you.

Not sure why you find it so awesome scoring 100 bricks at walmart and still going for more at cabelas. Don't mean to be offensive but really?

Tonight was Cabela's second invitation only night. This one was for contractors. I arrived around 12:45 and sat in my truck. Sold some ammo cans, and then posted up by the door around 230pm. This time I brought a chair. I was first in line but others were waiting within 20 minutes or so. My neckbeard'n partner showed up around 3:45pm. The line was just as long, if not longer, than yesterday. This time we ate some delicious cake while waiting. Tonight score was 32lbs of powder, six bricks of Blazer, and a Browning BL-22 rifle (price matched Sportsman's). http://i1021.photobucket.com/albums/af336/alaskanshepherd/cabelas2_zps5cd3494c.jpg I'm tired. Debating whether or not I should go again tomorrow. I'm afraid if I get there early and wait by the door again that I'll get assassinated in a drive by from some of the guys who are upset. Luckily, I think I saw some suppositories to cure butthurt's disease near the 22lr aisle. PM me your mailing address tbuck and I will overnight you some. View Quote |

Let me guess. Your going to shoot 50,000 .22LR through a lever action and a glock conversion slide. At the indoor range.

Go figure Really weird coincidence the phone number in the ad matches the number for an ammo can ad on facebook.

Perfectly fine with folks buying and hoarding the fuck out of shit. When folks start buying it for the sole purpose of reselling the shit for profit, that's when they deserve a dick in the ass for being little cunts.
|
|
Yep I am reselling the powder to recoop some ammo costs. Arfcommers are welcome to it at my cost though.
|
|
Anybody who wants powder or 22lr ammo go I to cabelas. I got there at noon today 3 hours opening. Still had tons.
|
|
All the powder has been spoken for by an arfcommer and being picked up friday (at my cost). Hopefully he will chime in here but I think he was scared of backlash from ya'll.

I was SW yesterday for my weekly troll. i went by the CS counter and it was empty so I snagged the chance to get my fishing license and salmon stamp. I said "so, how many people have been up here threatening you, and using Cabela's in the sentence?"
She said it had been pretty bad, as if they had ammo stashed in the back somewhere Some were trying to get price matching, etc |
|
Just wait til Bass Pro opens up.... it will be a battle royale.

I'm still good on .22 for the next 3-4 years since I loaded up on it back in the summer of 2012 BEFORE the start of all the drama and B.S. I love the free-market ideal, but to ass-rape somebody over .22 ammo is pretty wrong... I'm sorry, but whoever is selling the Remington 525rd value packs on the Alaska List for $70 per box can choke on it... Yes, it's America and the value of everything is set on the open market, but WTF!! This is pretty bad!! ...IMHO. |

I've horded ammo for so long I haven't need to buy any in a couple of years.
I decided I needed a little break from work this morning and took off to see the new store at around 10am this morning. Holy shit, it's as if nobody has ever seen a sporting good store before. Don't get me wrong, I love Cabela's, but fuck people it's not going any where so you don't need to buy everything in the store before it's all gone I don't particularly like people, so I walked around to check out the mounts and whatnot and got the hell out of there. I think I'm going to wait a few months for the fever to die down before I go back. I did notice it's a small store compared to the ones I've been to down south, though the mounts and displays are beautifully done. It's going to be really nice once every gets used to the idea of it being around. |

I went through 600 rounds yesterday, and I want to replace it but I will happily go to Walmart and see what the current price is. What a zoo! |

Hey OP,
Please follow the COC ~ uafgrad For the record, I have all of the 22LR ammo I need. I have over 10K rounds. All of which was purchased over many years, 1 or 2 bricks at a time. But it's guys like you that are CREATING the ammo shortage. Just because you CAN afford to go out and buy 100 bricks at a time doesn't mean you should. Any buying, as you put it, 32 pounds of powder?? REALLY???? What a jackass. I really hope you CHOKE on all that ammo and powder... |

That someone was me Wasn't thinking when I saw the post and broke the rules I in turn edited my comments and I was not the one who bought the powder Its borderline of a sale issue, however, I think he was gloating and got chided into selling the powder |
