This is my 1953 IHC Garand. It is one of the "good" Blue Sky imports. It has a hodge-podge of Springfield parts but the barrel is an original LMR and measures just under 2 at the muzzle.

I shoot pie plates and water jugs at one hundred and two hundred yard ranges and rarely miss. It failed to cycle the last two rounds until I replaced the clip latch spring. Now it gobbles up Greek ammo like it's going out of style.

What are the last four of your receiver, if you don't mind my asking?  I've got 4443537, and was pleased to find that it was an SA/IHC postage stamp upon taking it out of the stock.  Its interesting that you have what looks like a 5/53 barrel.  Mine is a 1/53 and I believe it is original too.  Aren't IHCs wacky?

I got sucked into one of the online CMP auctions....Collector Grade IHC, all parts correct, SN 5007227. I have the CMP pics and the data sheet. TE:1 Muzzle 1+  with an LMR Bbl. I have not gone to the online auction site ever since.
The rifle is 95% No regrets it is completely original in great shape. I had to cough up $5,500..two years ago this month.
But most importantly, I have the rifle. It is beautiful. Take my word for it. Someday I'll get to posting my shit.

My IHC is a little on the worn side, but then again I only paid $300 for it.

holy shit! N_T is still alive? i havent noticed a post by him in a couple months!

I've noticed he mostly posts in the tech forums now. His knowledge of Garands is pretty extensive. He is always welcome to post in one of my Garand threads!

Nice IHC you have there, N_T!

The barrel looks original. Your rifle is unlikely to have seen rebuild since it was made in 1954 and would not have seen any action other than routine trips to the range. Chances are good you have an all correct IHC. Take it apart and see who made the op rod and trigger group.

Looks good.

I like the IHC stocks the best of any. They seem to fit me better for shooting. The LMR barrels shoot very well also. I have a couple of HRA's with LMR barrels and a SA that came with one from the CMP.

Two correct CMP IHC's from a few years back and a gap lettered IHC barreled receiver I built up with mostly SA parts.

Well, my pics died so I will repost.  Panzersergeant, does your 4.44mil IHC have a heat lot number down by the receiver drawing number?

The three together.
