I tried my new p938 today and was having problems with it loading the first round using Hornady Critical Duty 135 grain ammo if the mags were loaded to 6 rounds. Only the first round would stop dead on the feed ramp. Loading five in the mag loaded fine each time.  Are there any problems anyone has noticed on these with feeding certain types ammo? Thanks for any info.

I have 2 myself (extreme and rosewood) and no issues here. Try a different magazine with same ammo then try same mag with different ammo. Might just need a feed ramp polish.

I have 2 P938's (a Scorpion and a Nightmare) both feed the first round with the same ammo you are trying to use without issue.  Sounds to me like a mag follower problem.  Does it have the problem with other mags?

I have one (unlike the other guys in the thread... I know I know.  Two is one and one is none) nightmare.

I have a similar problem... sort of.  Mine is my EDC and always gets shot at the range (once or twice a month).  Everytime I drop the mag to load target ammo, the first round flys out of the magazine and goes bouncy along somewhere like a jumping bean. I haven't investigated it but, I think it has something to do with the spring tension in the magazine.  It pitches the first round in the mag up (toward the chamber) and forward (toward the chamber) enough that it catches the inside of the grip behind the trigger.

I have never had a problem feeding any ammo so I don't believe it to be a feed ramp problem.  I don't know what the specs are on spring tension required for that mag to function properly, but a potential fix is to clip half a spring at a time until it works properly.

***Let me be clear***  This is not something I would do.  Nor do I advise anyone else to do it.  But it might be a solution to "our" problem.

I'm in the 2 club as well, one is an AG and the other is a Blackwood.
Never had feeding issues with either.
Have 3 6rd mags and 4 7rd mags between them.
Through both I've shot Remington and Speer Lawman both in FMJ and carry Speer Gold Dot which have been fired through as well.
