No special requirements other than not providing a firearm to a person known to have a prior violent crime conviction, and the person must be 18. I might just require they show me a CWP to make sure I have my bases covered.

Handgun??? must be 21, yes??? Long arms = 18yo.
CCW permit not needed for purchase, only to carry CCW. If no CCW permit, then require DL. |

Yeah, because no felon would be able to laminate a piece of paper and falsify SD's high tech CCW card.

Wise to cover your hiney especially selling handguns. On Facebook the SD gun sales groups are chronically besieged by guys looking for handguns. If their demeanor doesn't offer a clue to their age or maturity, studying their Facebook page usually offers good insight.
