It will be the height of irony if McAwful  signs the Bill into law. I've waited all my life for Sunday hunting and if it happens it will be the Dems that moved it forward and signed it into law.

Wonder if my shitbag county (Southampton) will find a way to still keep us from hunting on Sunday. They fucked us on muzzleloading

If it becomes state law I don't see how they can.

A good compromise and a victory for property rights I suppose.

I think this is a good step in the right direction.   Next step should be to open up WMA's for Sunday hunting.

The Gov signed it yesterday afternoon.

no local gov't can pass a ban on it...beauty of being a Commonwealth.

enjoy your sundays afield from now on.

law is effective 7/1/14.

VDGIF is already meeting on how to implement.

Yeah, but it's for private property owners only.  As I read it, it doesn't apply to state WMAs, or state/national forests.  It's a step in the right direction, but still a weak bill

I'm pretty sure I read in the Pilot that the Sunday hunting people are already working on a bill for next year's session.  It was a very, very big fight to get to this point and hopefully something we can build on in coming years.
