Here is my (new to me) DSA Stg58. I bought it from a fellow board member. It was a "pre-ban" with the faux brake silver-soldered on, which I removed. The barrel underneath was unfinished and looked pretty bad with the short FH I was planning to get. I cleaned up the remnants of the silver solder, smoothed it up with some 320 grit sandpaper, and put on a coat of Aluma-Hyde II in Dark Parkerizing color. After some CLP, it pretty much looks like new. Now I can't decide which FH I like better. The short or the long one...

Picked it up yesterday and took it out today, I'm lovin it so far,

It's an Imbel Rec with Izzy HBAR kit, damn thing weighs a ton but is a blast to shoot.  Now to find a handguard like AK_Mike's Para

Is that just an Izzy HG painted black?  I like it, and it would certainly be a cheaper alternative to getting an FN FNC HG.

DSA SA58 ParaCongo.  I got both weapons at  the same time and the DSA is much nicer than the JLD.  I haven't shot either.  I just got them in yesterday.

Top: G-1 kit on a Coonan receiver
Middle: Imbel on Imbel with Izzy furniture.
Bottom: Imbel on Coonan. Cut down to 18.5 inches. I liked the worn look of the kit so I aged the receiver to match.http://members.cox.net/nato762/MY3.jpg

Hawkeye,

Any Chance of getting a list of materials on this item? Scope mount, handguards, furniture...? Did you build this? I'm assembling my 2nd from G1 kits, I really like what you've done/got.

Thanks,

16.25" barrel work and Parkerizing done by Glen Riddle.

I built it on an IMBEL receiver, Izzy furniture, Garand sling, FSE wide pad mag catch, FSE FCG, all new springs, etc.  The flashider was milled by someone at the FAL files but his name escapes me at the moment.  I have no idea how well it works but it sure has the CDI factor

Your flash suppressor looks like a STG58 Stoll shortened by "mrbonecrusher". I have one as well and intend to eventually mount it to an FAL.

Underneath the window where you type your message is an icon of a globe and a chain link.  Clicking on this will bring up a dialog box that will ask you to enter the text you want to appear for the link.  Clicking ok in this dialog box will bring up another which is where you will enter the URL of the link.

I got a DSA scope mount modified for an ACOG, and slapped one of the cheap T168 scopes on it. We'll see how it holds up. DSA Stg58 rifle:

My first FAL it's a DSA and I've been saving up for this one! I just learned out to post pics and these are some I took when I first got it. I'll post more pics soon with the updates. I just got in a Tango Down ver grip, Magpul covers and GG&G bipod. All I need now is some glass. I leaning to go with an Eotech. http://img236.imageshack.us/img236/3425/dsafal8ui.jpg
