Done a few things to my workbench since last time I posted pics of it.

Made a mounting plate for my new Dillon XL 650 out of 6"x6" 1/2" thick plate. Drilled and tapped 4 3/8" holes bolted it from underneath the bench then ground the bolts flat to the plate, drilled and tapped 4 1/4" holes for the mounting bolts for the Dillon.

Plumbed the garage with air since I got a 60gal Dewalt compressor for Xmas and the workbench has an outlet for the air now and a filter/water separator/regulator for the air brush and other things (hopefully getting a nice engraving set up this year too).

24" monitor mounted to a swing arm with an Intel Compute Stick so I now have a fully functional PC and can get my cable over it along with all the streaming services.

Added a heater to the garage too, will get an AC unit before summer gets here (fully insulate the garage when I built it).

Garage is turning into a man cave

Looks clean and organized to me. I moved mine out for a refinish job. Hoping  to be back in operation soon.

Work in progress, like the rest of my new man cave.
Left side is 8', right side is 6', room is 10' wide.  32" deep.
Built it at 40" high.  May replace one of the legs with a toolbox.
Still need to stain and seal some strips for the backsplash.

No one has posted in awhile so I figured I would. Just finished so it's still a mess and unorganized. Just need more presses and some monitors, possibly some shelving up against the wall as well.

I decided to make it all out of maple (besides the frame) and the T-Track will definitely be nice to have when I start getting more stuff.

Well I finally got fed up with the camera studs - for whatever reason it always seemed like a hassle to use those when swapping over plates.  Not sure if I didn't have my holes lined up just right or what, but there was always resistance when threading them in and I would wind up needing pliers or vise-grip to get them run in all the way.

So I decided to pull it and remount the flush plate "normally" ie hanging off the bench 1.5".  This is the standard setup where you just use the threaded wing nuts to secure the plate...  Also shown is one of Dan's QR risers, I picked up both the 4" and 7", so have plenty of adjustability when installing different items - I think I have 5 or 6 plates now with several, presses, vice, trimmers, etc.

Downside is I have a routed out section behind it that looks janky... I'll figure out something to fill it in.  But going to run it this way for a bit to make sure I want to keep it this way, otherwise I will just move it back and try to figure out a better way to use those studs.

Finally get settled back up here in Alaska. We got lucky and got a house on post with a full basement, so I got a decent sized corner to play with.

Cant find my case feeder brackets though, hmm...

Reloading in a small space....

I just moved with my wife and 2 small sons into a 2 bedroom apartment.  The positive is that it is within walking distance of my job, the downside is that I don't have room for the workbench I had at our last place.

For whatever reason our apartment has a full bathroom and then a half bath right next to it.

So the half bath became my reloading room.  ha!

I had made a move-able stand using the idea from some one else's apartment reloading setup on this thread a while back.

That stand is set on top of a short bookshelf which holds components.

Of course I just got a Dillon SDB too, so I'm trying to figure how to have both set up.  I'm thinking of making another portable base for the Dillon, and putting a shelf on the wall to hold whichever base I'm not using at the time.  We will see.

I was about to ask you why you mounted both presses on the end/side of the workbench but see that if you did you'd render that top drawer useless.

Check out the YouTube videos on vise restoration. It's not too difficult, just clean, prep and paint. Well worth it rather than buying a new one if yours was decent to begin with.

Once again I want to compliment you on your trailer hitch quick-change press mount system.  I think it's awesome.

Hey thanks. It's been working well for me.

There's a few ham radios and a couple MURS radios. I have to build a desk someplace to keep that hobby from infringing on my reloading bench, ha.

I meant to put up a picture of my new press handle. I was in the middle of a reloading session and the handle broke off in my hand. I had planned on making a handle at one point so I had the rod and pool ball on hand. In a couple hours I was back up and running.

New to reloading and posting here. If this question isn't allowed here, See Below please let me know. I was going to post pics of my current set up then follow with my questions, but photobucket is down for me right now.

this is not a question thread. It's a thread where you post pics of your reloading bench.

Start a thread and ask your question, and please mention if you have tools and knowledge to build your own bench.

Forget photobucket, visit imgur and get a fee account that actually works. Then upload pics  and copy/paste the BB code and your pics will display.

Like this. dryflash3

Awesome setup!! How did you get your bins mounted to the pegboard?? I’m working on my mancave and came across a bunch of these bins and trying to figure out a way to mount them to the wall above my counter. Was gonna cut some metal that was thin enough for the back to slide onto, but I’ve got a bunch of pegboard to use.

I like that auto feed shell plate wall hanger idea.  I will be copying that this weekend.  I will mount the hangers on the inside of my doors, essentially lost/unused space.  Some of these doors have holsters hanging inside.  This is about as clean as my bench gets:

I am new to reloading but have quickly learned there is efficiency and productivity to be had when all your equipment can be in one space. My garage and office are currently under construction so I have been working off a portable (not so portable) Miller welding table. It's been great to be outside processing brass on nice days but had to bring it indoors for powder and bullets. I've been working out of storage bins and boxes for equipment and supplies. Several of the toolbox style benches here have given me some ideas.

So I am at Home Depot the other day and they have this for sale, $498: https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Storage-Solutions/Steel-Storage/48-22-8540 Nice box! Compared to the Husky it weighs more so I think it makes a better platform for reloading. I'm not crazy about the SS top cap and no overhang but thought I could make it work. My closest store only had one on the floor and it was dinged up so we took an hour drive to another store that had four yesterday. We found one really good one!

Two feet away is a huge assortment stack of these: https://hardwoodreflections.com/ It was meant to be! I picked up a 4' x 25" in birch for $105.

So I get everything home and with my son we dive into the project. At first I'm thinking I will Nut-Sert the SS top cap and then countersink and screw the butcher block top on. At 38" plus 1.5" for the block that seems too high (or to low depending) so can the SS top be removed? Yes it can! If you remove all the drawers you can access the six screws that hold the top on. We remove the top and save for another project (it has a HDF core). With the 25" wide block that gives me about a 1.5" overhang so I plan to trim lengthwise. My son suggest mounting the long end of the board so it overhangs the folding storage shelf on the bottom. Great idea but now the push/pull handle is obstructed. The handle can be mounted on the other side easily and you can swap the casters as well so we put the box on its back and get to moving the casters. Now you drive from the left side of the box. The overhang works out perfect and matches the width of the shelf! So the entire box is now 4' x 25" and sits 38.5" high. I screwed the butcher block on with some #8 x 1" SS screws and washers. The six screws are plenty but you could easily add more.

I also wanted to have the press mounted but still have access to the drawers. The overhang gets me there and it's plenty stout with little flex. I was resizing 6.5 CM last night on it and it has a great feel. I will probably mount a vise on the left/back corner as all my gun/smith tools now have a single drawer. No more tool bag for these! The box is also wired for power and has USB so I can run tumblers, dryers, lights, etc. very easily with one cord to the wall. The large bottom box easily holds the press when not mounted and has my dryer in it for now. We rubbed the block down with boiled linseed oil and it looks pretty good. Should hold up well.

Thanks to all the previous posts for the inspiration!

I reworked my small bench in the garage today using some scrap wood. When it was all said and done I got about 30% of my bench back.

Keep in mind I fix stuff, I don’t build anything that doesn’t look like a drunken 4th grader had a temper tantrum.

@GSPBirdDog
sorry to bring up an old post like this but what kind of mount is your vise on? And what size vise is it? I'd like a small vise somewhere on my bench but not sure how what or where and am looking for ideas

Not a problem at all. It is an Inline Fabrication quick change plate with the riser.

Built a second bench after this year's deployment - added two more 650s for a total of three (dedicated machines for .40. 223, and .308).

The other bench holds a Dillon SDB, Redding T-7, and Forster Co-Ax. I use it to do smaller batches, load workups, brass prep, and Garand handloads.
