What needs to be done to the gas system if you have a 16" barrel cut down to 10.25"?

Just buy this and be done with it (when its back in stock):
http://www.berettausa.com/en-us/arx100-10-25-in-barrel-kit-barrel-kit/jxc111/ It is the proper way of doing it. I believe it also has a slightly heavier profile for the barrel. |

If I get an ARX it will end up an SBR and suppressed. Once I SBR it I won't have a need for the 16" barrel which is why I was thinking about having it cut down. I was also wondering how the 10.25" barrel would do suppressed, specifically if it would be way over gassed.
Does anyone have any experience with a cut down 16" barrel that is run suppressed? |

You guys with an ARX-100 SBRed, how much does it weigh (without extra shit on it of course)? Curious what the exact weight difference is versus with a 16" and can't find posted figures anywhere.

I just learned the hard way how to remove and install the extractor/ejector assembly on the bolt (there are two). Its design is ingenious, but not immediately intuitive.

I just ordered an ARX100 SBR. Can anyone recommend some aftermarket support for the rifle? All I've seen is the trigger upgrade.

So I finally got this from botach(about 3 weeks) and had a chance to take it out to the range since we had weather above 0 lol. So I put about 100 rounds through it and a quick few impressions. Things I like: the simplicity of the gun for maintenance, it's light and to me even with the regulatory 16 inch barrel very balanced weapon. The gun has excellent layout of the safety and mag release. I also like the bolt release position. Ok only minor things on the negative list: I think the trigger could be a tad better and one more position out for stock adjustments, maybe two for taller people. I really like the gun I think it's really well thought out and it's a simple design that to me make sense for maintenance. One thing I can't comment on at this time is accuracy which I hope in the coming days to get the elcan dialed in better. We where able to dial it in at 50 yards to hit a small 12inch steel plate target very consistently. I think that's pretty good and my opinion is this is a gun that's made to be a battle rifle so we made combat effective hits in 20 degree weather is pretty good. Overall: like the rifle and very fun to shoot. |

I LOVE LAMP

Oh side note to above post- waiting on Magpul back up sights and short front grip. Sent to Beretta to get my 5 free magazines, they couldn't ship to my zip code
Ok so at first I was kind of pissed about this, so I got a hold of Beretta customer service and they gave me a credit to use plus $20 to use on the web store. With that I was fine and it actually work out great because now my wife has some nice Beretta clothing coming to her for Christmas. I am totally happy with that, I honestly have a ton of mags for it so no biggie. I used gen 2 pmags and they worked fine yesterday. |

I resisted as long as I could but for 1,024 shipped I couldn't pass up the Botach deal.

I'll be at SHOT next week. Plan on going by the Beretta booth. I'll see what I can dig up when I get there and post my findings.

With Steiner , they keep releasing optic design for the ARX so I know they are still very much supporting the platform, just want a 300 blkout barrel! I put the shooting sight trigger in my ARX last night, offers a significant upgrade. Its a little bit of a bear for us guys with big hands, but I am very impressed. Every odd tool needed was included except a hammer and a punch set, and if you watch the video on youtube you will breeze through it. It reminds me of a Geiselle SSA trigger. |

Are there any discount codes for the Shooting Sight trigger?

Yeah, They had a sale at Christmas, but it was only for the Tavor trigger
I know the 215 price is high, but its comparable to Geiselle in price and feel, plus it comes with all of the special needed tools, and some cool swag. |

They just had their live coverage of new products, and nothing was mentioned for the arx, nor the apx pistol.

Sorry I let you guys down but I was in a hurry when I made my way through the main gun room and, being it was late on Friday afternoon when I was FINALLY able to go see some of the show, finding a rep was nearly impossible. I took a pic with a shortened ARX but was unable to get any of the info I was looking for. I snagged a lousy catalog and it was on my way to the other few dozen booths I wanted to get by.
Long story short, I wouldn't hold my breath. They certainly didn't have anything on display for the ARX section that I didn't see hanging up last year when I was there. |
|
|
Well, hopefully there will be something at the NRA show.
|
|
|
Is there a reason we haven't seen a good aftermarket trigger yet? Does the design not allow a swap?
|
|
|
The shooting sight trigger is an amazing trigger for the arx. Equivalent to a Gieselle SSA. Wonderful 2 stage for a fighting rifle.

Awesome, thanks guys. I've never heard of them before, but I'll definitely look into that trigger.
Wish there was a youtube review of it so I could see the trigger weight, pull, and reset of a production model. Only thing I could find was Shooting Sight's own channel with a prototype. |

View Quote Best I can tell you is it has changed for the better since the prototype video, less parts. All of the tools show in the video, come with the trigger. Its still not a super easy trigger install Like an AR, buts certainly not hard. And if you have shot a Gieselle SSA, you have shot a shooting sight ARX trigger. Short clean first stage, carrot like break at around 4 lbs. Short Nice audible reset. Like I said its almost identical in feel to the SSA in my sons rifle. |

Why aren't the Beretta Enlarged Cocking Handles for the ARX 100 available in the US, but they are available in Europe? My index finger is killing me.
