**UPDATE ON THE KEL-TEC RMR-30**Just an FYI for all who live in states that can only have two "Evil Features" per rifle. I spoke with the son of KEL-TEC founder George Kellgren and asked them what Kel-Tec was planning on doing for their RMR-30 rifle with the collapsible stocks in states that don't allow collapsible stocks like CT, MA, NY ETC... Below is his repsonse. This is good new for all who live in states that ban collapsible stocks on rifles. I know a lot of people are very excited about the RMR-30 and some Gun Shops in CT are telling customer that Kel-Tec won't make a fixed stock version, so since I get the inside track from my contact at Kel-Tec, I will give people updates as I get them regarding the RMR-30. Below is the e-mail my contact sent me regarding the stock on the RMR-30 and the available options the RMR-30 will come with. I hope this helps people. Any other questions please feel free to e-mail me only and I will try and get the answer for you. We have to show overwhelming support for this product to get it out the door and to shops across the U.S. "Get EXCITED PEOPLE"

***just in case someone doesn't know what the RMR-30 is, it's the big brother to the PMR-30. It's the Carbine version on the PMR-30. There are some pictures online if you do a google search***

Hi,

I spoke to Toby our head engineer on the RMR-30 and he said that they are in fact going to be making a fixed stock version. He’s not sure if it will be released at the same time as the standard version, but if not, I’m sure it wouldn’t be too far behind. He also said that if you are able to find one in a non-restrictive State, you should be able to modify the stock pretty easily to make it fixed (with a block, or pinning it), if you really felt like it. We are also looking at making different barrel lengths that are interchangeable on the rifle.

I've still yet to see a PMR locally, at any price.

But if they make it (the RMR), I will buy.

Heck, I already own its predecessor.

I just heard of these 2 days ago. Are they on the market yet? Price? Mags interchangeable with the 22 mag pistol? Thanks.

Not available for purchase, yet. They will use the PMR-30 magazines. Last MSRP I heard from Kel-Tec was $535.00.

More info available at www.KTOG.org

hey HardShell, next time you are at Larry's you can ask them to put you one their "list" for the PMR30. It only took about a month for me to get one that way (they get a few every couple weeks) and the price is reasonable considering the demand at $359. I just picked mine up today and cant wait to shoot it!

they should be one of the first with the RMR as well and might already have a list for that too. they are one of the highest volume shops in the country (#1 with ruger, S&W, and Federal) so they get preferential treatment from most of the distributers

BTW, this is Thayer. I'm the guy who used to work there and helped you out a few times.

Thanks for the heads-up. I should be up that way right after the holidays, and I will do just that.

Still one of my favorite stores!

I see this going the way of the KSG, RFB, Sub2000, PMR-30, etc.....where they talk about it, make a few and then stop production out of nowhere so prices skyrocket and they barely dribble into shops. Kel-Tec needs to hire more employees and beef up QC before they start introducing any new models.

I'd like to find a dealer that has a decent track record of getting prm 30's and pre order

I'm still waiting for them to release the Sub-2000.

Not sure if you've been in a coma or somewhere in hiding, but many of us here have had SUB-2000s for years.

Some of us even have a few of them.

If you haven't found one over the years you just haven't been trying hard enough...

It was a backhanded commentary on their inability to deliver their own products to market. Since 2009 I've seen fewer G19 Sub-2000s than I have KSGs, and the KSG didn't even exist until 2011.

The PF9 and P3AT are the only products they consistently deliver.
