With the added space they are very fast on target, yet very accurate if need be for longer shots.

I just recently installed the Ameriglo Pro I-dots and love them. They align great at low light and night. The front sight jumps out at your eye

Any suggestions for a front sight for a 42? I was thinking of going fiber optic, but want it to be able to hold to EDC rigors. Thoughts? I haven't seen much online in the way of that yet.

Fiber optic will be fine for EDC.  Even if the fiber optic breaks (and I've yet to break one in the 2 years I've been using them), you can still use the sights.

I saw that, but I am looking for just the front sight. I guess I may just have to buy a set and sell the rear sight.

10-8 is developing sights for the 42.  That would probably be my choice since Warren doesn't appear to make any.

The G42 uses the same front sight as all other Glocks; it's the rear sight that's a different height.  I like the Ameriglo ProGlo front sight, you can purchase just the front sight, don't need to buy as a set.  If you're keeping the stock rear just be sure whatever front sight you buy is .165" tall.

anyone use a ameriglo CLAW rear sight with a trijicon HD front sight. I just bought a set of trijion HD sights from a member here & wondering if I decide not to use the HD 2 dot rear , could I use the ameriglo CLAW rear & still work / align properly on my G19.

I'm using & like my ameriglo CLAW rears with ameriglo proglo fronts on my other glock 19's & got a good price on a set of Triji HD's so I wanna try them out & if the HD 2dot rear distracts me just use a CLAW plain black rear.

Thanks , Pep

I want to think the HDs sit higher than the standard height which Is why I went with the proglo/claw combo.

It does.  I forget the height of the HD front sight, but it's taller than .165".

If you don't like the HDs just sell them and buy the Ameriglos.  I doubt there's much of a market for just the HD rear sight if you take that off, but shouldn't have trouble selling the whole set.

hi there!
any pics from the top of a G34 or G35 with Glock factory night sights? will the front sight stick into the cut out?

I'm trying out a set of Frank Proctor/Way of the Gun Y notch sights on my G35.  I just installed them a few days ago and have only dry fired so far.  I like the tighter rear notch for more precision, but we'll see how they work out in live fire in the next few days.  I'm planning to shoot it tomorrow or Friday to try out the sights and verify that the Fulcrum Ultimate Kit I just put in works OK, then I'm shooting a USPSA match on Saturday.  Anyway, here's a crappy iPhone picture of the sights.  The idea is that when less precision is needed you're going to be able to make a hit if you see the front sight anywhere in the top part of the "Y".  For more precision, you can obtain a better sight picture (vs something like a Warren Tactical Sevigny rear with a wider notch) due to the notch being narrower at the bottom.  The front sight fills the notch up a lot more than the picture shows.

I'm looking to equip my g19 with a tritium front and blacked out charging rear, that are the same height as factory.  Any suggestions? Any pros/cons for Dawson?
Warren 2 dots are great on my night stand gun, but they they feel higher and poi seems different.

I really gotta get some for my 19, I've always been a novak guy but I don't care for the way they fit on glocks. Thinking Heinie but I"m not sure, always seems like on Glocks the front sight is too dang narrow for the rear channel.

What brand/model of sights are those?  AmeriGlo I-Dots?

FYI, most all night sights are marked "Trijicon" but that is because they make the Tritium lamps most companies use.

More Ameriglo Pro I-Dots.

Nice sights for the price but, I was a little taken back by how big they were compared to stock. They almost look like suppressor sights. This is probably my 4th or 5th set of sights and they just aren't working out for me.
I have warren tactical backed out rear and FO front on my 17 and M&P 9. Maybe it's a training issue, maybe it's just what my eyes are use to. Whenever I extend the gun out, my eyes pick up the rear first and the muzzle tilts down to give me that one focal point I'm use to like on my warrens. Overall nice quality steel sights for the money. With more training and use, I could learn to love them. I just choose to go the expensive route instead.

VS stock

If you're ever rock climbing and drop your pick, the rear sight makes for a good substitute.

At the local gun show I had NS installed on a G17 and G26. Both rear sights had messed up lettering. No proof/data to support, but I am thinking they are cosmetic seconds.

if you push against the lettering with the sight pusher the lettering gets messed up
