To fire rifle grenades, of course. You can get inert, chalk, smoke and flare rounds which aren't destructive devices.

I'm betting you know this already but I don't like anyone getting hurt but just make sure it's a blank round for the gl. And if I'm not mistaken there where 2 different kinds of blanks one is just for noise and the other used a slower burning powder for the gl. And I mean no offense by the first sentence btw just don't want to see ya get hurt.
