You have a commercial Norinco, with an aftermarket receiver cover/scope mount.

This.

I have one very similar to yours with the same import stamp, sans aftermarket receiver cover. Poly USA is actually Keng's in Atlanta who imported a lot of SKSs from China. Yours looks to be a late 80's, early 90's commercial.

What's the factory code? 316 possibly? It'll be the number code in the triangle just before the three Chinese characters on the left side of the receiver.

Looks like it should have a blade bayonet.  The spike looks like it hangs too low.  Other than that, it's commercial.  Numbers match?

China stopped using the blade bayonet in 1966. The spike bayonet is correct for the Op's SKS. Also, you can see where the stock has a wider inlet for the spike.

It's probably the lack of a cleaning rod.  I saw the spike cut but it didn't look right to me.

Good eye, I didn't even notice the cleaning rod was missing. You're right, it's does make the gap wider without it and gives the illusion of the spike hanging lower.

Yes. All numbers match. What would be the estimated value? It's in good condition.

Do you have the original receiver cover? Without that, all numbers do not match and this affects valuation. This can be undone if you have it.

Also, and the worst part if you're looking for value, two holes were drilled and tapped into the left side of the receiver now holding two screws. These are not original and possibly have something to do with the aftermarket receiver cover. This is a permanent modification and would ruin any collector value.
