About a little over $500.00 in the current market: recent SKS-M sales data.

I'd pay a few bux extra to get that stupid brake off of it, and how the hell did you take that Pic?

I'm not sure about auction sites, but even before I found my M model about 3 years ago, they were going between 300 and 500, then after I got mine, I kept looking for quite a bit, and they all seemed to be starting around 450.

In today's market?  I've seen people asking 500 for a Yuko SKS at the gun show, and some people buying them, that's for a fixed 10 round, with the AK mag option, I'd figure you are probably 600-700 if you are trying to sell or value what it's worth right NOW.

No.  The stamped receiver guns were experimental and were not produced in any real numbers.  The M pictured above has a twist on brake probably made bt tapco and is easily removed.  It is a 20" bbl w/ standard wood stock SKS that was factory made to accept AK mags.

I thought 20" barreled sks that took ak mags were d's not m's. I always saw m and sporters as paratroopers (16" barrel).

Well I saw 2 of them locally for $450 each at different LGSs, they sat on the shelf through the sandi hook pannick. They ultimately sold, but I think you'll sit on it for awhile at $450. I was damned tempted to buy one my self.

The pawn shop near me is selling sks even russians for under $400 all day long. I think they had a norinco marked down to $289 this weekend when they went to a gun show, it was still there sunday afternoon.

I would say $400.00 to $500 currently. I like the brake. I have one on my rifle. Helps some with muzzle rise. Lots of SKS guys are purists. I'm not one. Mine is a 16 in barrel ATI stock, vented hand guard (top) and muzzle brake. My Norinco has a walnut stock. I don't like the duckbills though. My advice is, if you don't have one, hang on to it.
