There is nothing "wrong" with either type. So with refinished polish mags going for $9.95 the question boils down to: is BHO worth an extra $3 per mag?

Answer =  No.

Pols would have been a better buy even after factoring in S&H.

Those Polish mags have heavy paint on them from being refinished.Lots of guys are having to remove the thick paint to get them to work.

Not worth the trouble imo.

Im having great luck with the used Hungarian 10 packs from WAC for less than $10 a mag

^These are serviceable. I bought a 10 pack of the "used" grade a few weeks ago.  No fitment issues, but definitely used looking. No functional problems.

Full disclosure on the polish mags --
I have 10 from the batch that was in stock this past winter. Perfectly serviceable and looked great. No dings or dents. Paint was thick on 2 and required minor filing of the paint on the locking tab to improve fitment. That batch went OOS in late Feb.

I have 30 from the most recent batch that went up for sale in March. Paint is thinner.  So thin in fact, that the paint on a few started flaking just from rubbing up against each other in the shipping box. No dings or dents, 2 / 30 required minor filing, they look good upon visual inspection but haven't shot them yet.  And one of them doesn't appear polish. Still trying to identify it.

My  5 polish mags from AIMs  latest batch has some flaking and appear to have been used since their factory repainting.

Thanks you sir.  I've never heard of "WAC" before this thread.  I just got some of their Hungarian new in brown wrapping surplus mags.  Quick question though,  when removing the brown wrapper,  I noticed a dry,  white chalky substance on the mags. Any idea what this would be.  The guy from WAC assured me that there was no cosmo on these mags.

Thanks again for the website!
