You can use RIT dye to affect the color. the question is, what color will a FDE mag be if you use one of the green dyes? The color of an object affects the resulting color after dying. I would guess you would use a 'pea green' on a FDE to end up with something close to OD. Or to cut to the chase, you could paint it with Alumahyde II OD or any of their other colors.
