CDNN has used Romanian 30rd mags for $6.99 on sale now.

Best price I have seen in a while, thought I would pass it along.

That would be a deal....but CDNN hasn't always been known to be trusted.. Could be Korean mags.  I got burned by them years ago on GI issue M14 mags which turned out to be fakes.

Don't see a place to estimate shipping, anybody got an idea of what they charge? Or better yet a free shipping code?

ETA: hell, they have new Romy's for 9.99, that's not bad either.

Shipping is a flat rate $9.99

Sometimes they have free shipping over $99, but not right now.

I ordered some and hope that being used makes them Mil-Surplus, I cant imagine they have a supply of used commercial mags.

Yeah that's kind of why I passed, the mag they showed had a big rust spot on it. The ones for 9.99 looked new.

I ordered 4 at $37.95 shipped.

I dont mind a rust spot or two. I dont care if they are romanian or not, as long as they aren't korean I will be happy.

Let me know how you make out.  For $1 more you can get from SGAMMO and be sure you get the real deal I say.

Received my mags today.
They showed up in varying degrees of use and wear (personally I the used mags look much nicer in my rifle with the balkans bfpu furniture).

one mag that has "13" glued or painted on it, had a rough looking floor plate... once I degreased and cleaned the mags, I loaded them up only to realize "13" only fit 28 rounds... closer inspection of the "13" showed it used to be "28" painted on the side haha.
Looks like I need a new follower, spring, and/or floorplate.

they fit my rifle (a straight, newer CAI WASR GP 10/63 with 1964 parts) just fine.  I hand cycled rounds through them fine. I dont see any functional issues other than the one mag only fitting 28 rounds.

Honestly for only $37.XX changed shipped I'm fine with what I got.  If someone posts up a mag rebuild kit in the "Pay it Forward" thread or I see one super duper cheap on EE, I'll snatch one up, but I'm in no hurry.

Got 10 in today,  I am happy with this purchase.

Got 4 that would pass as new, 4 that have slight bluing wear, and 2 that have some bluing wear and a small dent.

One has numbers painted on it. I have not loaded them with ammo yet, but they appear to all be fully functional and no rust or pitting.

I don't get why today - when AR mags are both better quality and lower priced than they have been in literally decades - why it is that our options for AK mags tend to be either high priced or low quality...

Because the best AK mags are milsurp mags. Period. There are some very nicely made, beautifully blued, new commercial mags out on the market. But when it comes to reliability and ruggedness, the ones you want were all made 30 years ago for military use. You can find unissued examples but most will have seen military service.

ETA: if you want brand new, beautiful commercial mages, but with military construction, grab a few Gibbs Matra mags. They look very promising and there are a lot of people who would love to hear field reviews on them.
