The Yugo M85 5.56 mags are wider then other E. Euro mags. I bought 10 on a whim since they're $10 each and tried them earlier today in a couple guns. They're just about the right size to fit in a Yugo M92 7.62x39 magwell,slightly too long front to back and they're way too wide/overbuilt for a 5.45/5.56 magwell.
Might be worthwhile on some of the Romanian 5,56 to open the magwell up and use the $10 mags rather then scrounging up $35 Polish/Bulgy mags. Ive only got Saigas and Veprs so I'm not going to cut on anything I own currently. But I'm in the market for a cheap 5.56 AK right now
