Looking for reliable 5.45x39 mags for my new toy. Maybe 7 or so really good mags and then some reliable range mags. Also any advice on those to AVOID will be great too!!!

Circle 10, 21 or 25. Will serve you great.  

Not the best time to buy.  But you should be able to find them for $25-30 now.

For range mags if the above is to pricey. Tapco can be found for $10-15.

Any surplus magazine: Bulgarian, Russian, East German, Polish.  Commercial mags not as good.

I like the Tapco mags for range mags. They work are cheap and i don't mind beating them around while at the range. I say get some tapcos now and wait a bit for some more surplus to come online.
