Not Wolf - made by the Klimovsk Specialized Ammunition Plant (KSAP).

On par with Brown Bear IMO.

I like Brown Bear better than Wolf.  Usually a little hotter in my experience.

jeff1304,

Looks legit but Wolf brand I can't say. As long as it says non-corrosive then it's good enough for me.

Impala

+1, should be gtg. I always nail test a round out of Russian ammo bulk purchases anyway.

Wasn't there a lot or two from there that was possibly corrosive?

Treat it as corrosive.
The first batch imported to the states from the factory WAS corrosive.

But yes, Wolf did import the first few batches of this ammo without their branding on it.
Due to the fact that this specific factory already had the ammo on hand and wasn't going to reprint and rebox it.

IT IS CORROSIVE THERE AIN'T NO DOUBT

Klimovsk is on the left, Brown Bear to the right.

I stop buying this brand for the past two years. Last 1k I bought was corrosive - after 4 hours of shooting, rust showed up everywhere

Wolf is an importer that puts their name and packaging on stuff from high end Lapua rimfire match ammo down to low end corrosive 7.62x39 seconds.  There are probably a dozen varieties of 7.62x39 sold by Wolf.

I bought 4k rounds from SG and what I have shot so far has been NC.

I used a few boxes, It was OK, but have been able to score some Wolf polyformance for just under .21/round that is labeled NC

I bought a case a year or so back and it was corrosive, not a problem as others had mentioned it so no surprises, just be aware and clean accordingly..

wolf is just an importer not a manufacturer and Brown Bear was my preferred go to for a long time,Good stuff..
