I have every jig & tool that AK-Builder makes, but this one works MUCH better & easier than his trunion support jig (although his will work for any trunion & this one needs some mods to work on everyting). Works GREAT on Romys, Polish, Hungarian, & Bulgarian trunions. Haven't tried it on a Yugo...
Does anyone know where to get a rivet squeezer that does NOT require a press that will work with the triggerguard rivets and the long rear rivets?!? Is it even possible to do these without a press? Whats the SOP on doing these?
Here's a guy that makes a spotwelder tong for less.
He's a buddy of mine, and I seen it weld it does a great job.

I've designed and built a jig for locating the rear trunion rivets and a jig for the front trunion rivets. Both jigs act as a drill guide. The front trunion jig also acts as a clamp to hold the receiver and trunion in place as you check the mag lockup. I haven't made any in a long time, but I can make some more if there is any interest.

I got mine from here. It works great.
i just bought the short rivet jig from gunthings.com. way much nicer than the POS i homemade years ago out of junk iron when kits were cheap and could afford to mess them up. after using it on a $400 polish kit, it's worth every penny!!

Is your project finished? I am beginning to play with the idea, that maybe I can build an AK of my own and started gathering any info and pictures and reading as much as I can. Post any pics if you can. Thankx
