Vaporware until they start shipping. They claim to be having "tolerance" issues that they seem to be trying to blame on an outsourced part of the production stream.

I just emailed them a few minutes ago. Should have an answer in 24 hours.  I specifically mentioned the "AR15 community" and also used the word "vaporwear".

They seemed to be forthcoming in a previous email.  We shall soon see.

Aug 31 was yesterday. The website now shows shipping on 12/2016.

If this trigger isn't released in its original form, without hammer follow, in a timely manner, I will ask for a refund, and then forever speak badly about them.

I bet the actual word is "intolerance" and the outsource is the BATFE cunts.

I emailed for a refund and didn't hear back for a month. I then sent another (bit more, uh.. "persuasive") email and suddenly (like next day) received an email with apology and promise of refund check (CC return no longer good since it's been THAT long since ordered). I'll not speak badly about them though, just not interested anymore in waiting months and months just to be a first gen guinea pig. Obviously something very serious is going on with them, thus the super/constant delays.
ETA: after reading the other FA gen III thread, FA says that they just met (in DC) with the ATF and the ATF claims is has NOT cleared any "trip" design triggers yet (the Echo uses a "trip" sear/disconnect device). This may explain why Fostech is vaporware and silent on the issue. Perhaps they are claiming "product issues" but are, in reality, waiting for clearance to sell this. At any rate, I got tired of the shenanigans and cancelled my order (due to A) time, B) using a scalloped carrier instead of a corrected trip (bubba fix), and C) way too expensive/long wait to be a "first gen" guinea pig. No thanks.

Had this in mind for one of 3 builds I have underway, guess I'll stick with Geisselle

The email I was sent 9/02:

We are going to start releasing in the fourth quarter this year and going to
release by order by date.

There have been tolerance issues related to coatings and we are in the
process of resolving those.

Sorry for the delay, however we appreciate your understanding.

I see. And this takes them half a year to resolve? Interesting. I think they are losing sales (myself included, refund) as quick as they are making "potential" sales. Also interesting that Franklin Armory spoke with someone from ATF who said no FCG with a trip type sear has been approved (a more believable delay than "tolerances due to coatings). Hmm. Almost as interesting as Fostech themselves going "dark" here (no word from them in how long??).
Glad I bailed out.
Good luck with that.

I think that a 5 to 6 month delay is understandable if it’s true that they had to redesign it to include a proprietary bolt carrier.
Remember the first iteration was a drop in trigger group, and they displayed it at ShotShow.
The version that Military Arms Channel demonstrated used the special bolt carrier now included in the kit.
Think about that: hundreds of orders, and now you need to fabricate a bunch of modified bolt carriers (at your expense).
Yes. That would take 6 months.
I’m not defending Fostech. I’m saying this is typical of firearm production for innovative products (think Kel-tec PMR pistol).
When I am “King-Of-The-World”, this shit will be done away with.
