So I want to do a Star Wars theme build. Partial parts list follows:

Battle Arms Development  Monolithic PDW Lower Receiver + Stock System - https://www.rainierarms.com/battle-arms-development-monolithic-pdw-lower-receiver-stock-system

Geissele Super Modular Rail MK8 M-LOK (length to be determined) - https://www.rainierarms.com/geissele-super-modular-rail-mk8-m-lok-black

Hera Arms LC Linear Compensator Gen2 - https://www.rainierarms.com/hera-arms-linear-compensator

Most of the Star Wars theme builds seem to be Stormtrooper themed. Usually a variation of white with black accents. Did see the light saber theme build that one member did and thought was a fantastic build but don't necessarily want to replicate it. At this point the partial parts list is pretty much set in stone with the exception of the muzzle device. Optic is still undecided. Will definitely be 5.56mm and may be a suppressed SBR but still not decided.
Looking for something new and would like any ideas that anyone wishes to offer on possible paint schemes and the like.

Star wars is space, space = light weight

With that lower, I would machine out the low areas on the mag well, before the gloss white paint. Agree with small parts staying as is, for contrast. Stick a black mag in a white cutout magwell, would look good.

We built a "Stormtrooper" JK at work. Everything white.

The Fett theme is not too garish

If you wanted to something more than just a paint job but I don't know how that would work with your parts.
Something like the Rebel blasters in Return of the Jedi.

I never paid attention to the Rebel rifles.  Interesting.

Regarding other weapons in the SW universe, several have an almost steampunk-ish quality.that looks good on screen, however looks horrible up close.

My favorite was the one that the member named scarr did.

Some ideas to be had here:

I love the look of the Fett rifle, I wanted to do something like that with my last build but admitted that was probably above my pay grade...

If more white stuff was available I would have have done white furniture in kind of a Stormtrooper inspired rifle.

Someone should be building a Mauser C96 pistol... That is what Han Solo's blaster is based on.

True... until The Force Awakens.

Then they used a airsoft Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer as the basis of Han's DL-44.

I think Jerry already shot a couple custom Mauser "Blasters".
