Recently purchased a Fortis Rev that does not feel comfortable in my hand. Decided to go with a quad as thats what I am used to.

Down to either the DD Lite 2 rail in 12" that is 269

or the Larue Tactical in 11 or 12", both are 209 right now

Anyone have any words of wisdom to sway me in one direction or another?

Upper is Aero receiver, 14.5 Gov profile mid DD barrel, and DD low pro clamp block

LaRue has the better profile with the tucked in bottom rail. Older DD rails are shaped like I beams. The newer Lite III has a nice profile but I imagine will be much pricier. Of the two you've got listed I'd got LT.

The I beam issue was my issue with the Fortis Rev. Felt like holding a 2x4

I really like the lite rail II.  They're much slimmer in the hand than the original lite rail.

This. I love my lite rail II. I don't like that the LT don't have a continuous top rail.

I'd get the Larue.

I can't dig up much on the Lite II but here's some good info for you.

A chart with dimensions for lots of rails.

I just made this decision last night, I had to pick between the DDM4 or the Larue Tactical rail. I went with larue, might be 2.5oz heavier but it was $180 cheaper!

Unless you're chasing a number on the scale just for the heck of it, you'll never notice the extra couple ounces.  At the current pricing the Larue handguards are really hard to beat when it comes to quad rails.

I know that you've made a decision, I just wanted to note that I believe the Lite Rail and Lite Rail II have the same dimensions. The only differences in the iterations from I to II is they went from a 6 bolt setup to a 4 bolt setup, and added QD attachment points on the left and right sides of the rail.

Then finally, as noted above, the DDM4/DD Lite Rail III finally brought up the bottom rail so it wasn't an I beam.
