Have a stock Stag AR carbine with a carbine length LaRue quad rail on it. After using my KAC SR15 99% of the time, especially due to the keymod rail and length it gave me over a cramped carbine rail and fight front site, I figured it was time to get rid of the old rail.

Wanted to make sure I was looking at this right before ordering parts and having a friend with all the equipment/tools put it together for me.

Since it has a LaRue rail on it and the fixed front site post, I am assuming I need:

- Low profile gas block
- New longer keymod rail (was looking at the KAC keymod)
- New rail mounted front site

Take old rail, front site block off, put low profile gas block and new rail on and presto?

Is that it? Or am I missing something? Would prefer to ask before finding out the hard way.

Thanks

Go ahead and grab a couple of extra gas tubes while you're ordering parts.
That way you'll have a backup, save on shipping, and won't have to dick around with removing and re-installing the old tube.

Oh, and one of those short taper-pin punches is pretty handy if you don't already have one.
