Hi guys, I recently decided to build an ar15 and so I have compiled a list of what I wanted and I wanted to hear everyone's opinion, especially since everyone else has a lot more experience than me. I think that I have everything that I need to build one. Any suggestions or anything would be really appreciated. I would also like to try to keep it as cheap as possible, under 1000, which seems problematic.

AR-15 lower receiver. Aera AR15 Stripped Lower Receiver, Special Edition: Freedom - FDE Cerakote 125
CMMa Lower Parts Kit, AR15 w/Ambi Selector $84.95
Stoner Receiver Extension Buffer Tube Assembly 6-Position Mil-Spec Diameter AR-15 Aluminum Black 35

M4E1 16" 5.56 Mid-Length Complete Upper Receiver 455.00
L7A4 5.56 Standard Semi-Auto Chrome Bolt Carrier Group Complete.: $212.00
are these two compatible?
ar 15 charging handle 30

AR-15/M-16 OverMolded Collapsible Buttstock - Fits Mil-Spec Buffer Tube - Red Lava Rubber $69.95
Magpul AFG2 Angled Forend Grip AR-15 Polymer: 33.20
Fixed Front/Rear Sight Combo: $125
Magpul PMAG M2 MOE 30 Round 5.56x45 AR15/M16 Magazine - Flat Dark Earth - MAG571-FDE: $9.99
Gen 2 Non-Rotating Trigger/Hammer Pins: $33

Nice choice on the Aero receivers, I use a lot of those myself and love the quality.

Get the lower cheaper here... http://www.schuylerarmsco.com/product.ar15-stripped-lower-receiver-special-edition-freedom-fde-cerakote-99-993

The bolt carrier group seems like its a bit pricey, I would find a less expensive model, possibly the AIM Surplus V2 nitride BCG.

Do you need the ambi selector, are you left-handed?

If you really do need the ambi safety, I recommend a complete lower parts kit from Palmetto State Armory, the Defender LPK, with both an ambi safety and a polished trigger assembly, great kit for the price.  PSA also as a very nice milspec receiver extension (buffer tube) premium kit.

I would get a bcg from BCM, or aim if you want to save as much money as possible.

I would look into a bcm gunfighter stock, or magpul SL, which will save a few bucks

I would hold off on the afg,  unless you are absolutely certain you want one

Ditch the anti rotation pins

Sweet, what should I look for in a BCG? What kind of metal? Also, what kind of iron sights would I need for my specific upper? Same plane or rising ones? Lastly, do I need a replacement trigger from the CMMG or not? Thanks everyone.

What do you intend to use the rifle for primarily?  Any future plans for optics? If so, you may want to get flip up sights (Magpul, Troy).

As far as the bcg, Carpenter 158 steel is desirable. Finish is a debated subject, and the current trend is nitride treatment.  The AIM V2 mentioned is a good choice.

The Defender LPK mentioned is also a good compromise between quality and price, polished nickel fcg gets positive feedback.

I also agree about the AFG, it's just unnecessary weight (and expense) if you don't need it. You can always add one later.

Thanks, I plan to use this rifle for practically anything. Mostly just general plinking, some home defense, but god forbid if the dollar ever collapses... Since I was trying to keep a budget of 100, I figured I would get to "know" and understand the gun before I would buy other optics. As of now, I probably would not need flip ups. I'm going to drop the AFG for now. Would everyone rather take the Defender or the CMMG lpk? Also, this might seem stupid, but I want my gun to match everywhere so, is flat dark earth the same to FDE Cerrakote?

ALSO
I have updated my list, so I was wonddering if someone could check compatability, because I'm not sure the carbine/ mid upper fits my lower.
AR-15 lower receiver. Aera AR15 Stripped Lower Receiver, Special Edition: Freedom - FDE Cerakote 85
CMMa Lower Parts Kit, AR15 $64.95
Stoner Receiver Extension Buffer Tube Assembly 6-Position Mil-Spec Diameter AR-15 Aluminum Black 35
M4E1 16" 5.56 Mid-Length Complete Upper Receiver Product $455.00
AIM v2 BLACK NITRIDE .223/5.56 AR/M16 C158 Bolt Carrier Group $99.95
BCMGUNFIGHTER™ Stock Assembly - Flat Dark Earth 55.95

Fixed Front/Rear Sight Combo: 125
Magpul PMAG M2 MOE 30 Round 5.56x45 AR15/M16 Magazine - Flat Dark Earth - MAG571-FDE: $9.99

Flat Dark Earth = FDE... Notice the first letters of each word.  Not all FDE matches one another but you are getting an Aero lower and Aero upper so the color should match very well.

Yes, the upper you have selected will mate up nicely with the lower.  Again, they are both Aero items.

As already stated, Schuyler has some of the best Aero prices around.  You can get the Freedom lower from them for $85.  They also have a barreled 5.56 FDE upper with a 15in Keymod handguard for $415 right now.  You can get the all black barreled 5.56 upper version with a 15in Mlok handguard for $385 or the same but in a Wilde chamber for $380.

Honestly, there is not much difference in the basic LPK's unless you order something really cheap from Ebay.  Take a look at Palmetto State Armory.  They have a LPK that comes with a Magpul grip, Magpul polymer trigger guard and their enhanced trigger for $70 right now.  The enhanced trigger is a nice upgrade over a stock trigger.  It only comes in black I believe for that price.  You can also get PSA's 7075 Mil spec buffer tube kit for $30.

I'm so sorry, I have gone total derp. The cerakote just really screwed me up. Anyways thanks, I'm really excited for this build. Lastly, I know how to make the lower reciever, but how do you combine the lower and the upper.

Sorry OP, don't mean to hijack your thread but thought my question was to small for its own thread .I was looking at almost the identical parts for my first AR and my question is on the Aero upper kit...is the 16" length the actual length of the barrell or is the 16" the length of the barrel with the included flash hider?

There are two take down pins in the lower, and lugs in the upper that line up with the pins. Line up front pin and lug, slide pin through the lug. Then pivot the upper and lower together, and slide remaning pin through the lug. Done.
