This is going to be awesome, looks great already. Have you picked a hand-guard yet or still deciding? You should build a custom one with your machining skills!

I would attempt my own design but i do not have access to a lathe. I'm currently waiting on a AP Customs Rhino series 12" rail. I'm going to modify it of course lol! I'm limited to what i can choose because the suppressor will be partially shrouded and i need clearance for about 1.6" O.D. I also like the seamless transition from upper to rail, that's one of my biggest pet peeves on handguards. |

I'm a long time SW fan. I also don't mind theme builds too much, I see it as your rifle, do what you want. Looks pretty slick so far, but I think it'll take just a little more to make it pop as a lightsaber build. So far it's looking like more of a battle-worn AK finish type build. Not to offend, I know what you're going for, I'm just looking forward to see how it comes together.

Your finishing skills are remarkable. I imagine you could easily get this featured in any number of publications if that was your thing. (I hope it makes it further afield than a solitary thread on arfcom at least, it's that cool!) Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Are you going with blue or red lights? I wanted to go with red but the tritium disc that i have are green. Red tritium is very dim so green was the way to go since it's the brightest. I may just do the red led and not do the green tritium i still haven't decided. The goal is to make a crystal chamber on the grip, i want to make it look like the grip was struct by a saber and now it exposes the guts of the power source. |

Not my thing, but I truly admire the creativity. Makes me wonder what we'd call the opposite of a steampunk build. Steampunk isn't my thing either, but when nobody's looking I may or may not have scrolled through some google images.

I got some more done today, milled the top rail to match the BAD LW receiver and i made some lightening cuts on the handguard barrel nut (cover). I still need to sand blast and then start the distressed battle worn look along with some black accents.
