Just finished a 14.5 mid gas system .556. Took to the range for the first time and had 2 issues with .556 American Eagle ammo out of 20 rounds approximately. First round loaded into chamber but would not fire. Same magazine both times on loading in to chamber. Ran another 20 through it of .556 with another magazine and 60 of .223 with no issues. Do you think the magazine could load worng? Cause those 2 rounds fired fine through another ar of a buddies. Or does American Eagle known to have issues

In your small test sample it sounds like a  magazine issue. But being a brand new rifle I'd get some more time breaking it in before being overly concerned.

I've never had a single issue with American Eagle either.

If the bolt went into battery with those rounds then I doubt it is a magizine issue. What trigger and or hammer spring are you using? How did the primers look on those after firing as compared to rounds that fired fine? Normally a mag problem will cause a failure to feed, it sounds like you are having light primer strikes.

Running a Geissle trigger. It look like maybe that the primers might have been just a tad lower than they should be. That was a visible look I did not have what I needed to measure them At the range
