I've seen one build for this on Pirate4x4 (which I can no longer locate), and I'm sure they exist on here somewhere. I just can't seem to find anyone's build threads around anywhere.

I want to make a LH charge, non reciprocating upper that still maintains the dust cover and FA. Seeing as nobody manufactures one in that configuration, I guess I'm building my own. Just looking for someone to point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Most home builds are reciprocating as it's a lot easier.  Just cut a slot in the upper, drill a hole in the carrier, bolt in a charging handle and call it good.

With a non reciprocating you can use a FAL charging handle but you have to fabricate something for it to ride on.

Indeed the reciprocating kind is easier, but I'm not one to take the easy way out of anything. I may look into a FAL CH, but I don't want to pigeon hole myself into 1 option as such. Thank you for the input.

Not sure about the rest of your question, but there are several manufacturers who make a left hand, non-recip side charging upper. Most only require a slightly notched carrier, which either comes with the upper or you can notch your own carrier, it's just a larger flat in front of the gas key.

ETA: That's the next build on my list. Actually, one right hand reciprocating and one left hand non-reciprocating.

The NFA/Gibz only require the cam pin to be changed for non-reciprocating goodness to be a reality...

JP makes the upper you're looking for, but it's pricey

If you talk to Lee at Accurate & Reliable Rifle (515.490.5484) he can probably help. I just sent him my DPMS upper & he's modifying it to a RH charge for $147 including shipping.

I'm looking for a RH charge AR pistol. Bear Creek Arsenal has a 10.5" barreled one in 300 Blackout but I don't know zip about that caliber. I'd like them to build me one in .223 but can't get a call back. It'll become a SBR with a suppressor as soon as the lawyer finishes my Trust & I get the OK from ATF. They sell a RH charge upper with BCG for $188 but by the time I added up all the parts I'd need it's cheaper to buy one from them.

Anyone know of any other RH AR pistols?

Is it a lil on the expensive side for the parts it replaces? Ever so slightly? Worth it? Hell yea!
NiB BCG - $105 shipped from AIM
upper - $60
Raptor CH -$80
(I'm a lefty, so raptor would be the CH)

Here's my set up...

You sir are correct. Pricey is about the only thing I can call that. No chance I'm spending $900 for an upper receiver, even if it does have a high speed BCG.... This is exactly why I was looking to build. The hunt continues!

And thanks to everyone for the responses.

You should check out the Gibbz Arms Left Handed Upper. I know it doesn't have the FA and Dust cover but it seems like the best option.
I have a Right Handed one and I love it!!  For $250 and you can use any bolt carrier group I think its a really good deal.

If the handle isn't attached to the bolt carrier it needs its own slot to ride in. So it would seem to me that to take a standard forged upper and make it non non-reciprocating you would need material that isn't there.

Just my two cents.
