The act is way more smooth there is a youtube video about triggerss were it is compared to the more expinsive two stage check out
The epic ar 15 trigger comparison TheHossUSMC the act way to go. Irun the act with jp springs it has 3.5lbs trigger pull.. |

'TheHoss' or whatever refuses to shave his beard come doomsday. Lol. I think he's attached to the image tbh.
I have both and would say the QMS will meet your needs as much as the ACT. Or at least not $15 difference even. Up to you. I suggest looking around, maybe on youtube, but I'd avoid Hoss or that guy who did the troll vid on how to break in an AR15 barrel. |

I have the QMS. Couldn't pass it up as part of a $60 lower parts kit. Running the JP yellow springs with it in my 24'er. I don't plan to use military ammo in that rifle, just reloads.

The ACT and QMS aren't going to be drastically different from each other. On the flip side the ACT isn't much more expensive. I went with the ACT and like it well enough for what it is. I'm considering a JP red/yellow spring set.

I bought the qms and just installed it last night. It felt slightly better than my factory trigger in my colt at first. I dry fired it probably 100 times and it is now awesome. Keep it greased and break it in a bit and it will be a huge improvement. It's far from a Geissele two stage but it's also noticeably better than a stock trigger. My stock trigger wasn't terrible but had some creep. The qms had a tiny bit at first but after breaking it in a bit it is super smooth. I can only imagine the act is the same or better but I had to keep my rifle looking completely stock for work.

have purchased both and prefer the ACT. like said already it isnt going to perform as well as a 200.00 trigger but at 65.00 you cant beat it

The QMS is just that, a quality mil spec trigger, no different than any other trigger you would get in a LPK from a quality company.
ACT is the only trigger to buy. |

The stock trigger had thousands and thousands of cycles on it and it was nice and smooth - but the QMS was WAY smoother and crisper. The ACT was smoother and crisper still. The SSA? different league. |

I have both qms and act. I personally like the qms better. I have no idea which will last longer but at $15 cheaper I will continue to use the qms. YMMV and both triggers are quality. And its only $15 difference, but again my preference QMS.

I put the ACT with yellow JP springs in my son's .22LR. It has a crisp 3.5 pound break. I think the extra $15 is worth every penny.
I'm not knocking the guys who like the QMS but I have an extensive bullseye pistol background. Trigger control is everything in that game and I've become use to VERY nice triggers so I tend to compare everything to that. |

And the thing about unreliable stuff is that it tends to fail when you need it most. I appreciate light triggers as much as the next guy, but I'd rather have a little heavier trigger that is reliable. Especially in an HD gun. |

I bought 2 sets of the yellow/red "reliable" springs(one for each af my AR's). I think I will just try out one and see how it goes. From what I've read I could always add a heavier hammer spring in the case of a light strike issue. If anyone has any experience with jp spring light strikes or reliability issues please advise. Asking for real experience not hearsay or more unchecked opinions as seen above.
