Starting a new build, have had some of the parts for a while. The bolded is what I have and/or is confirmed for the build.

Edit: Can anyone recommend a QD/non-QD scope mount? Also if you think I'm missing anything that would be useful on a SPR/precision rifle than please chime in!

Goal: 1-600 yard accurate tool/utilitarian rifle; AKA Tack Driver

Upper:
Spikes Assembled Upper Receiver
Spikes BCG M16
White Oak Armament 18" SPR Rifle Length Barrel
Spikes Tactical Dynacomp Extreme
YHM Low Profile Gas Block
Spikes Melonited Rifle Gas Tube
Custom Carbon Fiber Rifle Free Float Tube
Raptor Charging Handle

Lower:
Spikes Lower Receiver
PSA Lower Parts Kit
Geiselle SD-E Trigger
Spikes Trigger Guard
Hogue Overmolded Beavertail Pistol Grip
SOPMOD Collapsable Stock

Optics:
Leupold VX-1 3-9x40mm Duplex
—Suggestions for scope mount?
—Suggestions for back up iron sights?

I will post pics when everything is ordered. Opinions? Good choices? Bad? Recommendations?

Clark Custom?
If it is, it's been my go to FF tube for years.

Don't know if it's precision. I use YHM Phantom 5C1 flash hiders on all my AR's including my "precision" AR.
My precision AR shoots better than I do so I assume the 5C1 isn't a hindrance to shooting bugholes.

Every person has their own opinion, but if it were me, I would put a Geissele trigger in it.

No, I actually own my own company (www.facebook.com/MDesignParts) and specialize in carbon fiber performance auto parts so this will be something I make.

Thanks for the flash hider recommendation, will keep it in mind!

I remember seeing one in the $140 range though can't seem to find it. Also love the trigger design of this one:

I won a Larue MBT.  It's awesome.
Never shot a Geissele.

Are there any trigger recommendations with a non-traditonal trigger shape? I'd like to stay under $200, I do like the Geissele SD-E Super Dynamic-Enhanced Trigger and the Geissele National Match/Service though so I will spend the extra for those. If I'm looking to get sub-MOA shots off simultaneously what would be the best combination of first and second stage trigger break weight? I'm looking to build a tool; aka tack driver.

Geissele National:
Pull Weights: Match

First Stage: 1.3 - 3 pounds (2 pound nominal)
Second Stage: 4 to 14 ounces

Pull Weights: Service

First Stage: 3.2 - 5 pounds (4 pound nominal)
Second Stage: 0.5 to 1.5 pounds

Pull Weights: DMR

First Stage: 1.3 - 3 pounds (2 pound nominal)
Second Stage: 0.5 to 1.5 pounds

As for pistol grip, anything new (within the last 1-2 months) or from SHOT show that I should hold off on? Wouldn't mind getting a new stock and leaving the SOPMOD on my 14.5" either.

I thank you all for the suggestions thus far!

Yes, get a Geissle, the G2S is well under $200, deals can be had on the SSA-E for close.  Probably don't need the Spikes buffer and the BAD seems out of place on an SPR, I'd put that $ towards the trigger or better glass.  Just use an A2 FH, again put that savings towards something else.

I looked up the G2S and think I'd rather spring for the SSA-E over the G2S, also I am seeing the SD-E listing the same exact specs as the SSA-E. Any disadvantage with a flat trigger bow over a traditional trigger shape as I would prefer something "exotic"; aka not traditional shape.

Also laid my eyes on the new trigger, LaRue MBT, might end up being Geiselle SD-E v. LaRue MBT.

As for glass, I'm assuming my parts list should make a pretty decent/high grade rifle and I'd hate to disrespect it with a not worthy enough piece of glass. The choices I have listed, are they good for my purposes?

I am a big fan of vortex optics, however my experience with the crossfire line of scopes was not great. I do not remember the exact scope model but it was a crossfire 3-12 or 4-12, something like that, it was cheap ~$120 or ~$150. Anyways I wasn't happy with the eyebox or the glass quality. After talking over the phone with vortex, I upgraded to the Viper 4-12. I have been very happy with the scope. I would advise you to take a look through a few different scopes before you make the purchase. I wish I would have gotten the viper from the beginning.

Well I'm almost down to having everything as I like, just a couple more questions:

1. For a SPR/precision rifle what allows a more proper trigger placement: Hogue or Ergo pistol grip?

2. What is a good QD mount for my scope or should I not go for a QD-style?

3. Anyone have experience with a Anderson Manufacturing upper on a Spikes lower? Complete upper is a $30 difference between the two, am I better off going with a Spikes to match the lower?

4. Raptor or Ambidextrous BCM Gunfighter charging handle?
