FYI - good buy:
Brownells has Bushmaster lowers on sale at $49.95. Mine just came in and they are quite nice.
I also just saw below that MGM has them at $49.00!

I bought 5 of them about a month ago and was very disappointed in them. My PSA blem lowers are much nicer.

For $50 a crappy finish is a Cerakote project waiting to happen.

You can get a Non Blem Aero for $46 shipped if you look around.

Hummm... mine have a good uniform dark  finish through out, no scratches or anything and good markings etc... what are the specific objections on yours?
Would the finish not be "thick" enough?
I thought I was doing a good thing passing on the info.

Aero is good stuff, but having a diverse accumulation of rollmarks trumps the minor price difference.  I already have an Aero lower.

Someday I'll stop being a cheapskate and get a Noveske lower to add to my rollmark collection.

Got 1 from aim and another from midwest gun works. Both for $50 shipped. We'll see how good they look.

Got 6 of them about 2 months ago when they first started this sale.
Absolutely nothing to complain about.  And for $50 a piece, they'd have to be pretty messed up before I would.

To be fair, I am returning one as the corner edges of where the grip mates are rough and seem to have been touched up when I tilt the lower into the light. I didn't see the flaw at first, just when I ran my hand over it. I still think it's a great deal!

That sucks, I hope mine are in decent shape. Im not expecting perfection for $50 but it would be nice.

Picked up a Bushmaster lower at the gun show today for $59 and a CMMG lower parts kit. Just finished putting it together and it is decent.
The finish is a black matte that really doesn't exactly match the color of the uppers I have. Also Pmags are tight and don't drop free- USGI mags work fine.
Overall I am satisfied.

Have you seen a lower with a problem? My understanding is that remington dumped all the ny marks lowers when production was moved. I assume they are supplies by an outside vendor

It was on a complete rifle. Had an edge on the lower sharp enough to draw blood, and the finish was very thin on the lower, while the upper receiver finish looked good. Marked Ilion, NY.

Maybe their ARs, but their 1911's and current 870's seem OK.

I picked up a couple of the Bushmasters last month and they were basically perfect.  Went together nicely.

Just got my Bushmaster lower from AIM, its pretty close to perfect. $49.99 can't beat that.

Got 3 from Copes a couple months ago, beyond being dirty, they are more of a matte finish then the lowers Bushmaster was pumping out back in 2010.

For $149/3 I was very pleased...

I bought 6 of them, and my buddy 3. All from AIM, and all were flawless. Nice finish, no cut corners on the seams, no dings on the forgings, and pmags drop free in all 9 of them. Best 300$ I've spent this year . They look just as good as my Spikes and Aero lowers. These are definitely not craptastic lowers with visable forge marks under the grip, trigger, and front of the magwell........they are finished nice. Besides the barrels, bushmaster stuff is as good as anything else on the shelf IMHO. I haven't had issues with any of the extraneous parts I have from them. Lots of misplaced hate for them after they fudged the Masada

The only thing I noticed at all with building them, is the bolt catch roll pin went in pretty easy in a few of them. Coulda been the roll pins though, and that pin really doesn't have to be sledge hammer tight anyways. I used a combination of PSA, CMMG, and even a DPMS kit, and all the LPK's worked just fine.
