You can never go wrong with a Geissele. I have the SD-E and I love it. For a lot less money his wife's company (ALG Defense) offers a decent single stage at 4.5 pounds (ALG-ACT)for $65.00

It is a lot. But the trigger is unbelievable especially for distance shooting.

I have the SSA on both my AR-15's and I would not own one with out it. The control is superb.

The Hyperfires may be OK, but the SSA and SSA-E definitely are.
The SSA is proven to be reliable with military spec ammo and has a long service life. Also on general principle I like the fewer parts aspect of the SSA vs the Hyperfire for SD/duty weapons. |

Good points on the Hiperfire. Not to hijack the thread, but I'm looking at use in a long range shoot. My everyday ARs will have a different set up.

Does anyone care to give me some insight on the black rain ordinance drop in trigger? I seen a video on it and the reset looked absolutely impeccable. Any takers? I'm new to this sight and this is my first ar build.

I will be purchasing the BRO DIT trigger as soon as I have the funds to put in one of my rifles. It has great reviews. Also there are some videos on YouTube. I am working on buying a house on land so all my pennies are spoken for! I want the Black Rain Ordinance trigger that's for sure

Very nice triggers based on a unique design. Bear in mind they release with a single stage stroke rather than a definite break. The letoff starts like a two stage trigger with a small amount of take up, but instead of a second stage, at the end of the stroke it goes bang. Ideal for fast double taps as practiced in 3-gun competition, but not for precision shooting at distance. - CW
