It's a partial first build.  For my first build I still am leery messing around with head spacing.  I ordered a complete BCM 16" ELW upper with 15" KMR.

I've been waiting patiently for a few things to happen to move this build along.
1)  Move out of communist NY state and move to Tennessee ....check!
2) Wait many days for BCM to actually get their 15" KMRs in stock....check!

I've been slowly acquiring parts (that I legally could order in NY) and now all I have left is the lower.
With this being my first, and not sure could be my only AR I wanted to go quality with BCM.  From everything I've ever read about this company they're top notch both in product and people.

Here's how it stands ..in parts:
LPK                                  Red Barn
ALG ACT Trigger                Red Barn
BCM Mod 3 Grip                Red Barn
BadAss Ambi Safety          Red Barn
All 4 of these for $148.00
Compl Upper                      BCM                                               16" Lw barrel, upper receiver, bcg, mod 0 comp, 15" KMR, Ambi charg handle
                               Total for upper:       $745.00
Stock                                Magpul          $74.99
Ambi mag release              Troy              $59.99
Extended Butt pad              Magpul         $18.95
Buffer Kit                           KAK              $41.50
Compensator                     PWS             $89.00
Stripped Lower                   Spikes          $120.00
Iron Sights F+B                  Magpul          $100.00 (to be ordered still good catch diggler)

Total:                                                     $1397.46
All in just about 1400 bucks total.  From what I've seen price wise I think it's about on par for what I'm getting but hey..ignorance is bliss.
Thanks for listening...also if anyone has any suggestions on what I may be missing chime in..I'm all ears as a new builder.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeet.  Missed that.  Still need to get iron sights for this.  Planning to go with the magpul gen 2.  Good catch!

I figured I'd shoot it a lot for now with irons and then maybe get a 1-4x for it later if needed.

DSG Arms puts the Magpul Pro sights on sale for $125 per set. A much nicer choice in my opinion......especially if you have a little time to wait for a sale!!

Shooting with irons first is a good idea, and not too often practiced anymore.

i love irons. they don't need batteries and don't typically fail.
